Namio Harukawa was the greatest artist and influence

I spoke about the late Namio Harukawa before, when he passed away April 24, 2020 I was shocked because I honestly thought the guy was already deceased considering how little information there is about him. One of the many great things I noticed about his work was the level of detail and investment he had in drawing some of the best-looking plus-size women. Usually, when I see plus-size women in pornographic or erotic artwork they are drawn in such a comical way that makes them look less serious to the viewer. But then again obese women really do exist...So maybe people get off on that.

Namio H. was an artistic genius of a man, like many great artists that passed away he left a mark and people took instant notice of him. I recall seeing a lot of his work way back in 2003 when I was still in High school, at that time I overlooked him and never even knew who he was. After I had time to develop a deeper interest and greater understanding of the Femdom art genre and concept. I invested my attention into Namio's work and my fascination with him had grown over the years.

Of course, I'm still not a fan of pornographic/erotic imagery involving men and would have loved his work even more if he had made the subject about beautiful plus size women dominating weaker thinner women. I'm sure he would have attracted and drawn a greater audience and more attention had he went in that direction instead of making it about scrawny weak men. The only thing is, I don't think people were that obsessed with weight back in the 1940s even though Japan never had an overweight problem like the West. There are still a lot of benefits to any body type when we get into the Erotic aspect of things.

                                                    THE HEALING NURSE DIVISION

In 2020 I had got this wild idea in my head from looking over Namio's work when I was beginning on the next story to Bad Apple's The Little Red Fox. First I was trapped because I had writer's block and couldn't figure out how I wanted to progress the story further and was on the verge of giving up. Then I came across some of Namio's unique drawings he did with plus-size nurses I hadn't noticed before. The women looked like beautiful Japanese nurses from the World War II era and I was taken by what he had accomplished with those few drawings of gorgeous large sized Japanese or perhaps even Chinese nurses squashing their submissive patients.

It then occurred to me that the next story I was going to work on in The Little Red Fox series had to involve these nurses, and they had to be plus-sized but also muscular with Amazonian-like strength to handle the dangerous inmates in Outer Heaven. So I introduced them as The Healing Nurse Division, members of the U~etto kankoshi Shakai (Wet Nurse Society).

The four women were developed to be as dominant, aggressive, threatening, intense, and sexually stimulating as the ones in Namio's work except these Nurses are capable of even manhandling threats of any shape or size. They are fearless and would even stand the tides in a dangerous male prison. That's how tough and brutal I wanted them to be and my dick was raging hard every time Xuilan whipped hers out. When I was creating the nurses for the Little Red Fox Part II I dedicated the sequel to Namio H. I was aroused throughout every scene that involved them..

My favorite Nurse was nurse, Xuilan. I wanted a group of older mature women but I couldn't make all the main members over the age of 40 so I did two older women matures and two younger ones. These are just the main nurses but there are approximately hundreds of these Healing Nurses that work in various parts of Outer Heaven's prison system.

I learned a lot from Namio H though, he's one of those artists that should have had an even bigger impact on the erotic art community. Japan is notorious for having a lot of artists but you rarely see any of them with an art style unique to their own. Almost every artist up there that does Hentai shares the same exact art style and direction. This is not to say that there aren't any unique artists in Japan with their own art style. It's just that a lot of their content tends to look identical alike with so many characters being drawn the exact same way.

Namio was producing his artwork during the 1940s so that explains why the women had such a World War II appeal to them and I always had a fascination with vintage art. Women were also very beautiful back then..I'm hardly even attracted to modern women compared to what they were like back in those days. So when I'm going over artwork from years to decades ago, I always get this nostalgic feeling even if I wasn't alive during those times. But we still had it quite good in the 90s though, that side pony tail look From Full House still get me lol.

The Little Red Fox Part II however did become my best-selling graphic novel out of The Little Red Fox series. All three books sold quite well, but the sequel did better than all three. I wish Namio were alive today so that I could thank him for being such an inspiration and helping me figure out the direction I wanted to take with that story. It's because of him I didn't give up and kept the plot going, as a result of that I realized I'm even more turned on by dominant women, especially Oriental ones when they happen to be older than I am and wearing a nurse uniform.

Throughout The Little Red Fox Part II there are some of Namio's drawings that were used in the background. Ikiryo mentions that her father did the drawings but I believe she referred to them as paintings, I don't remember. But the drawings were present throughout the story dedicated to the artist that did them. I truly did have a lot of fun with Book 2 and enjoyed it more than the other two I worked on. The entire book was mostly about these Nurses, and less about the prisoners.

Mai and her sister Ayako brutally assault The Skyline Division Leader

Part 3 was my least favorite story as it pretty much revolved around redemption, story II was more of a revenge tale between two nurse factions so there was plenty of rape and violent sexual assault happening in that particular book. Normally I hate revenge plots or plots about revenge because revenge doesn't make one person better than the one who committed the first violent or act of aggression.

It's not that I'm emotional or anything when it comes down to fiction. I just wish I could have handled certain scenes in Book 3 better.

Anyway I should also mention before I wrap this blog up that The Healing Nurse Division wasn't the only nurses in the story I worked on. There are two other divisions that weren't exactly inspired by Namio's work at all. The Skyline Division And The Nightwatch Division (Formerly known as The Ravendark Nurses). The Skyline Division was more influenced by the nurses in Silent Hill 3 they do make appearances in Book 4 again..

You will see them differently the next time they appear...I won't spoil that though. The Nightwatch Nurses wear all black like undertakers and will be more present in Book 4 as well, what they do is handle deaths, plagues, and births throughout Outer Heaven. People wanted me to explore that pregnancy theme again as I did in the first two stories so I'll most likely return to that in Book 4 -laughs-

With that said, I want to thank Mr. Namio Harakawa for helping me come up with one of the best experiences I've ever had working with Nurse characters. I have always liked nurses in erotic and pornographic stories due to the amount of intense energy they bring to dominant roles. I do hope to do more stories and themes with them in the future, after all. If it wasn't for Namio's interesting art work, his creative mindset and mentality..The Little Red Fox II probably wouldn't have existed, at least not in this light.

There is no telling if it would have turned out as good as it did if the Nurses were never part of it even though they did appear in the first one..It's just that they weren't the ones inspired by Namio's artwork in the beginning. I pray that wherever he is, he's happy being there. The man earned the right to die with dignity and the respect he earned from what he achieved as a femdom artist. It's because of his work I love dominant women artistically even more now than I did before. There will never be another Namio Harakawa.
