How important is story telling in Sexual Erotic artwork to you and does it matter if there is a plot at all?

Erotic artwork can constitute as being both non pornographic in nature and pornographic, but that isn’t important unless of course it matters to you. In this case we’re going to be exploring erotic themed artwork that contains a heavy focus on the sex that can also tell you a story along with it and discussing why it’s important to some people while others can simply do without it.

First and foremost there are a great deal of story tellers that can create artwork that can still provide you with a plot even without written content to back it up. But what about those who provide written material with the artwork itself? Or they add a bit of dialog between their characters?

Artist who are looking to create a dynamic experience versus the comic book approach will try a variety of different things to build a much more engaging experience because most erotic artists taking the animation approach are honestly not up to the challenge to create full length videos so clearly they can’t tell you that much of a story under 30 seconds.

Of course you have top tier animators who aren’t exactly phased by time constraint problems like Sleepy_B, Your Big Johnson, AnimaPron, KamadevaSFM, DesireSFM, StudioFOW, DarkLust, etc. these artists normally take a couple of days, some even a month or two with their work all of which focus on story driven animated erotic stories. Those who produce 30 minute animations I’d assume take a whole year or half a year to finish.

They are great influences on what story telling can do for Erotic animations and animators in general because unlike their still imagery counterparts that focus on still images and comic book story telling. Animators have a lot more to work on including the animation, dialog, and building the plot around all of these things.

Even if the stories are short and don’t take a lot of time to explain what’s going on.  You still have artists that can create a plot that adds suspense leaving you for more. I’ve seen people literately beg some artists for sequels to their work because they were that great at building up a plot around it.

Take DesireSFMs Witcher animation for example, in the opening the story is explained in just a few words, but some parts during the animation near the end of The Corruption of The Lodge kind of left people wondering what happened to the other girls Triss was surrounded by. Desire obviously chose to leave this up to the viewers imagination rather than exploring the story further to explain whether or not Triss did something to the other women in the room. Even I wanted to know what the hell happened to them.

But is story telling really important in erotic art and how deep should the plots really be? This is debatable and depends on the reader/viewer attitude and approach to the content including whether or not the artist feels that story is important in their work to include it there.
There are some people who care more about the sexual content than the story driven content unless the story content is revolved  around the sex which is the case with a lot of BDSM artist that can create an entire comic based around torture.
Writing is also an artistic technique that not a lot of people have when it comes to creative writing even if it’s to tell a short story. It is a skill of it’s own that only a few can pull off well enough to focus on it when their writing for erotica. Because there are still people with the attitude “Stories in porn isn’t that important” and if this is how they feel, then this is how they feel. I always felt that it was more to it than that.

Some erotic stories are great when they have fleshed out concepts and interesting characters that you can get behind to fuck in your own imaginative world. Then there are stories that don’t help the art very much at all, can drag it down, or get in the way and be an absolute distraction. There is a lot you can do with writing for Erotic themed content if you have the patience for it that is. There are a lot of different artists that tend to simply overlook it because they don’t have the creative passion to create story development at least not when it comes down to exploring it thoroughly and in greater detail. But comic style artist are always looking for new ways to come up with a plot device to drive their ideas along.

The movie Heavy Metal did a very good job at blending erotica with fantasy and science fiction despite the animation wasn’t much to write home about even for an 80s picture the animations were still quite bland, but some of the short stories for them were quite good.
But it was the first animated picture in Western Cinema that blended Erotica And story Development together on the big screen while Japanese artists in Japan were creating a Hentai revolution during the mid 1980s.

Sexual Driven Comics are a lot different from action heavy comics or Super Hero comics that may contain a few minor suggestive parts with some light hearted sexual moments to some more tamer sex themes regardless if genitals are present or hidden. You can easily judge certain stories based on how the sex is portrayed.

There is also a big difference in between how stories in erotic artwork is told, how the words are being used during sex and when there is no sex present at all. When there is intense moments between characters having sex your going to get dialog that’s either amusing or mild, or downright hardcore, provocative, and intense wording..

Logan III the super Heroine artist that does a lot of Super Heroine porn is notorious for doing this. Going into in dept detail both during sex scenes and non-sexual  scenes. You get a feeling of what his heroines are thinking, their expressions can often give off a vibe their being forced to do what their doing, yet at the same time their also very willing and accepting of the roughness involved.

With just a handful of artists who can do this exceptionally well without distracting you, you may find something with a tone that is too serious that you might easily forget for awhile that your even reading a pornographic comic, or it may just be a comic that doesn’t constitute as being Porn at all instead it uses porn as a way to draw attention to itself and the focus might be on something else entirely. If there is more sexual material than there is non-sexual material, then it is obvious that it is an Erotic Pornographic tale.
Most of these artists create serious toned Erotica so the written material is going to be equally as serious as the images themselves. One artist known for doing that is Christian Z.

FUTA’S CAN GET SERIOUS AND VIOLENT WHILE STILL MAKING YOU HARD OR WET AT THE SAME TIME.
Bannana Games was created by Christian Zaneir who did both the artwork and the writing for it. He is what I’d like to call a Graphic Novel Style Sexual Erotic Artist because he can create serious stories that does a very well rounded good job of not only exploring the sexual natures of a young futa girl with a dark undertone to it, but it’s also a crime fiction tale unlike any other story I’ve read where the written portion is literately Marvel and DC, to Dark Horse Level good. At least for an erotic comic.

Christian is definitely a brilliant artist both with the images he puts details into and the writing portions. I wanted to review his Banana Games series but I haven’t read it in so long that I honestly forgot what the hell it’s even about. I do know it’s the first Futa Crime Drama I’ve ever read though.

You won’t find too many people that can do this flawlessly well by blending drama, and sex together. Japanese artist have done this many times but their not very good at writing sexual stories to be perfectly honest. Sure they did okay with Bible Black by blending sex, and horror together really well. And it’s probably the only futanari in animation with a villain as nasty as Reika Kitami.

But other than that they’ve always been terrible with writing stories for sexual themes even in their comics. This is not to say that their not capable story tellers. The problem is that A lot of this have to do with the art direction they’ve took over the recent years when their ideas became less maturer in nature.
So the writing gets dumbed down to fit the immaturity of how characters are being portrayed in Hentai. I honestly don't like it when adult females look like kids, I miss the damn days when the women characters actually reflected a woman in terms of how they looked in the face. You know? The Vampire Hunter D, Ghost In The Shell, Lupin The Third, etc those art styles I miss! Not this damn girly fruity ass Idol shit their so fond of nowadays.

I will admit that I still like Ojinki Clinic for its take on female sexual dominance and how mature all the ladies look compared to what women characters are like now. They gave these women great personalities, and it showed in the writing when ever they had control of a situation, so it worked.
The dialog use to be funny as hell, didn't take itself seriously.

Ojinki Clinic had to be the only Japanese show and comic that blended comedy and sex really well together for it’s time and could still keep you aroused, most of the stories involved the doctor getting dominated by aggressive older milf like women while he tried to fix their problems. His dick had a personality of its own lol that’s what made it hilarious.

Even though some story telling is okay, I believe not everyone wants it in their porn. That’s because story isn’t that important to them like it might be for others. I am a story driven erotic artist so I do love putting in lots of story work in my own artwork regardless if people like it or not. And this is fine, after all erotica can only go as far as the creators want it to go.
But stories such as the ones in Banana Games is proof that erotica can be taken seriously if it wants to be at that level while still keeping you turned on so you don’t lose focus while your fapping and reading at the same time if you can master the art of both that is.

Black Adder had a way of telling a story without using any dialog at all, he had sets that definitely needed stories added to them HORRIBLY BAD, his alien nightmare being one of them. Instead of adding any story details, he relied on making a lot of images and scenes.

What he would do is render a bunch of these scenes without any written content to explain what was happening. The actions between the characters explained everything on their own and it was up to the viewer to determine what the story was about without any dialog present. In Alien nightmare you know that the Protagonist is having a bad dream, she dreams about being abducted by aliens that gang bang and get her pregnant.

These scenes all carried every one along nicely..Dialog  would have helped these scenes even  better than they already were. I do believe that having a story of some kind is beneficial to some idea. In a way I feel that even without  dialog present, art can still present a story to the viewer. But it may not be enough for those who prefer a reading experience over using their imagination.
