Explicit Comics (Porn related only) Vs Non-Explicit Comics

 -Will fix Errors later-

I read a lot of comics these days when I'm not too busy trying to produce and make my own. In fact comic book and graphic novel development are exciting activities once you have it down and understand exactly what you want to produce with it. Although at times it can become tedious work, boring and tiresome as hell creating scene after scene. However, a lot of comics in general suffer from a lot of problems. For starters pornographic comics are enjoyable for the sexual content, but the stories are always weak, written poorly, or just ignored entirely...

It seems like story development isn't all that important to some people. But there are people like me that do prefer some balancing story telling and great sexual encounters...It's just that so many artist will ignore building any plot devices, and there is also no character development either since characters in explicit natured stories would never be able to reach the same heights as characters in non-pornographic works like The X-Men for example.

Therefore every page you flip to will mostly be 90% sex and very little if any at all story related. There are exceptions to this rule however because you have a few artist capable of blending both good story telling and sexual material all at the same time. I would like to think of myself as being that kind of artist. Then you've got the artist who are just really bad at story telling but they excel at producing the best sexual material. Some artist are aware of this too, and that is why they avoid adding too much dialog or any at all. But then there are scenarios where they are often faced by their own fan base as to why they don't produce more story works.

The downside is that real comics and graphic novels that aren't explicit at all tend to have the better stories than the sexual ones entirely. I just read the whole THE STAND series or at least almost all of them, my favorite story is Sole Survivors Part 1. The story is well written, and the two main characters of the story Nick and Tom are easily the most likable guy characters despite the fact Tom is mentally challenged but they use the harsher term for it which would be "Retarded" and that's okay, I'm not some progressive dipshit that get offended by words.

Nick is a mute and can't talk at all, but if you read through the first book you still grow to love these two and their brotherly love like relationship that develops. Nick truly cares for the guy, but it's one of those powerful thriller like tales between two heterosexual male characters without being plain weird. And you don't get any of those awkward "Bromance" moments either just because Nick shows that he can't abandon this poor guy all by himself and shows compassion toward the fact that he's mentally challenged.

It's just two well developed men that connect who have major flaws that gotta make it through this distorted town of nothingness together and quite honestly? I wanted more of this story between the two, it was the first time I was interested in a story about two men, now if they started fucking each other passionately and shit...XD I would of put the damn book down immediately.

Logan III is one of those artist I can take semi-seriously to some extent even though the futa's have dicks that would make a demon jealous of it's crazy size proportion..In this comic they ram those huge dicks right up that tight little super Barbie Bolts ass until she screams, it's a blend of pleasure and rape all in one.

He does some very good comic work no doubt and I've always enjoyed the majority of his art that didn't involve the ugly monsters, and weird males with dicks just as big as the futas. He is also one of the RAREST futanari explicit artist capable of balancing both plot and sex. The only thing is his writer has a tendency of writing FAR too much dialog lol. I suffered from that same problem in the past which I am trying to correct with my newer material. Some of his images have so much writing it's hard to believe he can fit the characters in the same panel with it. The sex is good though, there is always great sex with Logan's work. I had a chat with him several years ago on Hentai-Foundry.

I can tolerate male characters better in none explicit stories but even then I read a lot more comics that involve male on female sexual encounters than female on female or futa on female..Because to be fair about it...Lesbian explicit stories lack the same creativity as the futa stories lack at times. Nobody wants to explore different ideas with any of it, it's mostly just straight forward girl on girl sex in a typical every day environment. You won't find a lot of stories about female sexual predatory behavior either, but there are a lot of comics both sexual and non sexual wise that contain these elements involving male on female relationships.

So if you want explicit artistic stories about a violent female taking what she wants from another female, you just won't find a whole lot of shit like that anywhere....Because lesbian artist are just boring...They've never been the type to really do anything unique with the genre, or put the same amount of effort into the art and written content as the artist writing bondage heterosexual stories about female captivity with her captor being a man.

Futanari comics are just as lacking and I've not read a single one with a serious storyline to it either...It's some of the more serious tone artist that produce the male on female stuff that get it right as much as I hate having to admit this...But the artist that write a lot of those bondage stories or horror tales about damsels in distress they do a damn good job of it. I don't have to be into heterosexual content to admit that these artist are much better than the lesbian artist because they are, and because of all the variety they have. This is why I read the hetero stuff more, there stories and content is usually better than what I actually enjoy, Girl on girl...Sucks I know.

lol I love this series, Ojinki Clinic was so original and different, I still like the comics. The animated versions were lacking a little, but still enjoyable for a sex comedy series. It's the only time I was perfectly fine with futa's being used as comic relief. How I miss the international channel, and the year 2003 when I discovered this series.

Anyway sexual stories in general just aren't written that well at times, and that's what suck about some of them and why they tend to fail compared to non explicit stories (excluding the violence). I do love serious story telling a lot more after reading The Stand and a few other books within the horror and thriller genre. Although I do have a short attention span at times. So sometimes I find it difficult to stay connected or attached to a story if it fails to captivate me. There have been times where I'd skip through explicit plots just to get to the sex, but then you don't really have to do that since a lot of those stories are mostly sex and less story anyway.

It's a challenge and I do enjoy writing actual real storylines vs producing 100 pages of sex and only sex like the average explicit artist does and calls it a "comic" or "novel." When really it's just 100 scenes of sex, and a few speech bubbles...Another reason why some artist don't want to invest in it have a lot to do with lack of interest, or as some have openly admitted, laziness, short attention span, etc. When I first started out writing graphic novels and short mini comic series I felt that way too, lazy and just wanted to rush right through it. As I got better I start to take my time and realized that I enjoyed the writing content just as much as making the art content.

Then I started to read more and more real comic books and graphic novels to the point of wanting to produce my own just like those but with more explicit moments in them and not so much talking and little action or a fairly decent combination of both so everything works. The myth that most artist accept as reality is that they feel that no one cares about a well developed plot in explicit mature rated content...This isn't true at all. It really does depend on the reader..

I have always wanted to do dramatic looking covers like this for explicit theme content...You won't find any explicit artist going out of their way to produce them this way either other than the Heavy Metal comic stuff.

I mean yes, there is always going to be a lot more people who will be invested in the explicit content if that's the direction you're taking with it. Nobody is going to expect an actual Black Widow comic written by Marvel to be explicit in nature full of tits, ass, sex, and ass kicking all rolled into one, unless it's fan fiction.

The last thing I want to point out before wrapping this up are the Doujin artist from Japan. They tend to do a great job balancing sex and story really well in some of their work. For the most part I do love a lot of their futanari comics about office ladies or some tom boy swimmer girl with short hair but just like most futanari artist they have a bad habit of making unrealistic dick sizes....I'm talking gigantic like it belongs to Kong or Godzilla. There is a certain way you can do it, without it being comical. I pulled this off a few times in my horror and thriller works and it didn't look so bad.

I've never liked the comical futa stuff though, it's the reason why no one can really take the genre seriously at all.Too many artist produce futas as these over size dick creatures attached to human bodies...The weird race fetishist do that same shit too, making black men the center of attention and trying to write that shit off as "hetero porn" XD more like closet gay porn when the man's black dick is the purpose of the theme...If I do anything comical then there has to be some explanation behind why I chose to do that vs just doing it because it's a staple of the genre, a trend I should say.

The one thing regular graphic novels and comics have over explicit ones is the ability to produce more issues than just one. There were times when I got lucky and found a explicit comic very entertaining to read and get off to at the same time. Then once it ends...That's it, no sequel, nothing! Actual publishers that publish books from non explicit creators often have over 20 or more books written per series depending on how long they want it to be...And then you have shitty comics like The Cross that have hundreds of issues being put out full of pure gore and relies on it like a religion just to keep people invested with corny plots and a never ending story that goes on forever...I tried reading Crossed and it's just pure gore, and shitty main characters...being shitty human beings to one another.

I wrote about Box Of Want before, even had a nice chat with him too. He's one of the best artist to do something different with the futanari genre in a comic format. Wish there was more material like this but longer and deeper in story telling context. This guy definitely have the potential that most futanari artist don't have.
