DesireSFM is frustraited with his work.

Earlier today, I told DesireSFM about a dream I had, a dream about him showing me a secret art project he never showed anyone else before. After he showed it to me, I re-watched it over and over until eventually the futas in the animation project came to life, jumped out of the video and pulled me right inside. While inside the video, I was raped, brutalized, and destroyed by these voluptuous futas the same way Ciri took it in Corruption Of the Lodge 3 by all four of them except I took it from twenty of them, LITERATELY..And no matter how hard I tried to resist, they were stronger than I was and took what they wanted from me by brute force until I cried like a goddamn bitch, begging them to stop tearing into me.

I explained how when I woke up I had a toothache, and was covered in sweat..I didn't even get to mention how my throat was the shape of the Futa's massive dick that throat ravaged me hard until I puked up her cum. After I gave him the details, I knew he would explode with laughter which he did about the part involving his art coming to life to get me..Then he went on about how he wasn't too happy with how slow a lot of his recent projects were, how he was frustrated with them...

I got to thinking "oh no, this is bad news...I'm concerned about his mental health and whether or not he's overworking himself. Personally I feel that he should take a break for awhile, find another activity to do to avoid further frustration with his projects.

We honestly don't have anyone else to take over if he stops doing this besides The Terrible Fairy, and that often puts up some very good content...But lately I wasn't too much feeling his recent work after The Prescription one. It was the LAST good animation he did and it was 11 months ago...Every now and then he does something you just have to go and check out over on that dead PornHub site or wherever he's posting at when he releases a new video.

I have a lot of patience and try to encourage every artist I've spoken to personally even when I start feeling like a failure myself at times. KamasdevaSFM is also another one that's hard at work and getting better. But he's dealing with some complicated tax issues in his native country that takes a huge chunk of his profits...And the last time I spoke to him, he was really ticked off about it.

I do get how DesireSFM feels when he went on a little about his frustrations because I once spent hours in Blender trying to produce cum to look like the stuff in SquarePegs renders, and I couldn't figure that shit out no matter what. I watched countless videos on youtube on how to make fluids but it was all too complicated and I didn't have the attention span to watch people talk for 40+ damn minutes only to forget everything they discussed about fluids...All I wanted was a simple and easy way to make my girls explode everywhere and have them covered in semen so people don't feel disappointed in the lack of bodily fluids in my work other than the easier stuff to produce like urine or a pussy squirting.

Blender provides some very good quality material no doubt, with enough patience animators could go places with it...But length is a very big issue among 98% of these artist. Which is why I don't really recommend the program to any of the animators like Kamas, DesireSFM, or TerribleFairy, unless they stick with their original length quality plan rather than reducing it to fight time restraints or just pure frustration when they figure out how painfully slow animations are in Blender.

If you asked every person whats more important in a good pornographic animation, graphics or length quality. The majority would definitely say length quality. If they could have it both ways, they would say both...But in the case of blender, all you can really expect is perfect graphics and short animated videos if people lack the patience to go beyond that due to blenders inability to animate animations faster than what it does.

When I couldn't figure it out? I was upset, angry, bitter, even tossed stuff around the room in a fit of rage like a kid that just got his SNES in the 1990s taken away for having bad grades in school. I ended up losing faith and confidence in myself to the point of wanting to just quit. I felt like without good enough sperm and cum in my work, it wasn't worth it anymore...I was just sick of my content feeling so damn incomplete.

I use to also feel the same way about lighting when I first started out in DAZ studio. I could never figure out what to do, and relied heavily on point lights the way I use to in Poser...My renders would often look too dark, too damn blurry, and then one day I finally figured out how to properly use lights in my scenes...Now it's my war with cum development.

But when I spoke to Desire today

This is what DesireSFM said to me:

DesireSFM: I am honest. I am relatively frustrated with work at the moment. No matter how much energy I put into it, progress is so incredibly slow and the results don't convince me 100%.
I plan to start working with Blender next year and hopefully find new fire and self-confidence for my own work.
[2:04 PM] DesireSFM: These large projects are simply disproportionately draining. But  short loops, on the other hand, give me nothing. An eternal struggle.

DesireSFM is known for animating multiple futa's just like Nyl tends to do. The difference is that Nyl doesn't animate 18 minute animations of 3-5 different futa's all fucking aggressively at once in perfect sync. You could only wonder, if doing something as complex as Corruption of the Lodge 3 is even possible in Blender...It would probably take 3 years or more for one person do it alone..I could be exaggerating this though. I can't really estimate the length I'm just assuming it seeing how challenging that animation looked.

So it seems that SFM has caused him to lose some faith in the program, maybe he's not enjoying the limitations. While I do not blame or fault him for wanting to switch over to Blender. It will without a doubt improve the graphical quality of his work ten fold...Anyone doing futanari in blender will be met with some serious firepower and competition if DesireSFM gets involved especially if he masters the program the way he understands SFM. lol then every single one of you futa animators is about to get terminated XD.

The downside however, and this one I spoke of before about him going over to Blender the last time we talked about that. At that time he said he wouldn't move to Blender because he doesn't want to end up like all the other Blender animators, wasting his talents on loops. He did word it much differently than I did, but that is what I got from what he was trying to say. And I'm not going to sugarcoat...loops and short animations is useless if that's the only thing you can do in Blender...I wouldn't even bother to animate if I couldn't go beyond a few seconds or a couple of minutes. When DesireSFM said that short animations wouldn't give him that much pleasure in creating, I agree with it..I'd feel the same way about that. I produce graphic novels and comics both, if all I could do is make 10 pages worth? I wouldn't even fuck with that.

Most animators that use blender aren't very ambitious either, I can tell when an artist is ambitious, and Blender hasn't really inspired anyone that use it to go beyond a few seconds. Even if the program was fast enough you'd still have a ton of artist doing shorts with it because these are the same artist that were doing that with SFM. DesireSFM was always ambitious, he's one of the rarer animators like Sleepy_B, Final Fuck 7, Umemaro, Kamasdevas, etc they were all pushing animations that were hitting the 18 and 40 minute in length mark!

In fact Umemaro was just ONE animator in Japan producing some of the longest 3D animation content...Some of his animations were going on for an hour in length with plot and sex well balanced. He was animating these longer animations a lot faster than both these SFM and Blender artist. Almost every month it was like he had a new video to showcase. Final Fuck 7 had the better production value but neither of them were into futanari material. What I would give to watch a great animator do 40 minutes of girls with dicks fucking females mmmmmm! Can't deny it, I use to fap to Umemaro's stuff and Final Fuck 7's back when Futa wasn't relevant in animations besides Bible Black and Angel Blade.

With blender the only difference now is that instead of a lot of people animating loops and gif animations in SFM with poorer graphics they switched to Blender and decided to still do the same thing with it rather than improving on length quality so now it's just loops with better graphics instead of loops and shorts with poorer graphics. I understand that animating takes a long time to do, and yes it's a lot of work no doubt. I can also sympathize with anyone that has a difficult time since struggle can wear any artist down, but a lot of these animators are experienced veterans and know their way around complex programs like Blender...I was lost even looking for the basic tools lol.

Its like I said, even if Blender was faster at animating, the majority would still be doing what they've always been doing. They just don't want to work too hard on doing something that will take them a century to create. Regardless of what program you use it's still going to take a long time since animating is not a process you can rush through.

That's why I think blender is just extra useless for actual pornographic content for anyone that already takes awhile to produce content. It's useless because people refuse to do something other than shorts with it due to their unwillingness to, and because Blender takes a lot longer to work with than SFM in animating. But again, this same problem occurred even before they all went to Blender. In the end it all depends on the artist and not the program in most cases. If an artist is ambitious enough, then a program like Blender isn't going to prevent them from producing longer animations.

Either way I just wouldn't give up SFM for Blender if I was any good animating in SFM like DesireSFM if I knew it would take me longer. Quite honestly I also have very little patience for anything that renders too slow...Graphic quality is important to me as well that's why I left Poser for DAZ. I wanted better renders, better lighting, I wanted realistic looking figures, and higher quality artwork. But if DAZ was painfully slower than Poser, I never would of even switched.

I never did get attached to the characters in poser like I became attached to them in DAZ though. When I was working in Poser, I didn't even care how I used my characters...The quality was so poor in comparison to what I've accomplished in DAZ, that the characters meant a lot less to me in Poser.

In Poser I tried to make graphic novels and comics but it was slow and the quality too poor for me to get much out of it. When I jumped over to DAZ, I seen and witnessed the potential despite it's flaws like having serious memory issues making big scenes harder to pull off compared to how easy it was in Poser. Another thing is, DAZ is faster at rendering than Poser and I no longer have to do test renders anymore just to see if something is worth rendering or not.

In Daz I can preview my renders in real time before rendering it officially and that saves a lot of time. I can even use Poser content in DAZ and convert it all to Iray materials giving me more variety and a lot to work with. So if I wanted to use all my old characters from Poser and import them over into DAZ? I can easily do that and never have to even TOUCH poser ever again.

Thing is, DAZ made me more ambitious with my ideas, and I told myself "if the quality of the graphics must improve, so should the quality of the content itself." Blender didn't encourage animators to do more with a better program.

I just cant see myself half developing through animated programs if I understood how to use them that good.  If I had to deal with blender being too slow when its suppose to be better and faster than everything else on the market, then screw it I'd stick with SFM or one of the other inferior programs and just do great content with that. I would put up with the strict limitations, terrible lighting options, and deal with the bad graphics vs trying to animate good graphics and having to give my audience mediocre content all because I can't provide them with something of higher value than that thanks to blender being pathetic at rendering animations fast enough vs something that's outdated like SFM. You can still achieve quality production content in SFM regardless of the major issues it has...

I mean hell Blender isn't all that aside from having better physics, body types for the models, lighting options and so on. But in the animation department, it's a total failure for something that's suppose to be "better."  People often assume having a faster PC is the answer to these problems. I have a monstrous machine I paid almost $3000 for with high grade parts, and let me tell you this. Rendering large scenes in Iray is STILL FUCKING ASS. It's the program, not the machine that's the problem. I even have a 3060 GPU and Steven Carson told me he has a 3090 and I believe a faster CPU processor than me, and he still told me Iray is slow as hell sometimes.

If someone made a shitty piece of software *coughs, Microsoft*, you can spend $15,000 for a machine I don't care, that mutha fucker is still going to handle certain programs or software like garbage if the programmers made it poorly. I said it once before that Iray is trash at handling large scenes and NVIDIA makes shit graphic cards that can't even hold the necessary amount of memory Iray needs in order to pull off huge scenes and yet people rip people off just to own one paying $2000+ for a GPU that can only hold 24 GB isn't worth it when Daz requires at least 400GB+ to pull off the type of serious hard hitting scenes I want to make with it. But using Iray is still better than using Poser's firefly and superfly rendering engine and it's faster than Poser too. Unlike Blender that's suppose to be faster than SFM but isn't.

Covoid made things much worse as far as content production goes in general for everyone because now hardly anyone does anything at all anymore. I've been to a lot of sites looking for new work to review or just get into in general. And I rarely ever see anyone producing anything for animations. When the purges happened it really ruined things. If you visit pornhub, it's a ghost site now...So you get this feeling that quality porn just isn't there anymore.

Either way, DesireSFM knows I support him no matter what program platform he choose to use. I'm still with him. I just pray he doesn't lose the ambitious nature he has when he realize how slow Blender is at handling the type of complex and advanced scenes he wants to produce. I mean if he goes to Blender we're going to get some high quality hardcore futa content better than anyone for damn sure...But at the same time lengthwise?

I don't know if he'll be able to pull off 18 minute or longer animations in Blender with the same amount of characters he takes advantage of in SFM considering that he was told by Nyl or one other animator the feat is very very difficult. Not impossible but difficult. This is why Nyl never attempted to do longer animations, but I believe he openly said he would love to. I can't recall if I actually talked to him or it was someone else that spoke to him directly and then told me about it.

I don't want to doubt D, and I have faith in him..I just don't want to see him waste and throw his talents away on shorts and loops like a lot of these blender artist are doing these days. It just wouldn't do anything knowing we lost one of the best full length futa animators to the looped crowd. Kamasdeva himself spoke strongly about his stance on looped and short animated content, and I do agree with him about it since I feel the same way he does about it.

Blender has a lot of animators with talent that can animate fluid animations, unfortunately switching to Blender doesn't equal quality in terms of length just quantity in the vast number of artist that prefer something with better tools to work with and they are willing to sacrifice length in exchange for those graphical qualities...Is it worth it? I don't believe so, but artist should use whatever program they are happy and comfortable with. Whatever give them the best results in the long run, and most of all they are having fun working with that program.

Graphics also can never replace length if the artist is good at high quality production work. Any artist capable of blending all elements together that is able to also master them is someone who can take their talent and abilities to the next level.

Not only would it improve what he's already capable of, it would put him ahead of all the other blender animators that refuse to work with the time restraints. The only thing we can do now is just sit back, and see what happens when or if he officially moves over to Blender. It's not healthy to put pressure on any artist, and most of them are aware of the pressures they face with their audiences depending on how well known they are.

I do want to see him take on Blender because I know the sex will be FIERCER! Than it already is. Don't get me started on the story telling parts. You also have a lot of blender animators who can't really animate very well at all and they still get ousted by people using programs that are even more inferior and outdated than Blender is.

Out of all the SFM animators that came before Desire and those that still remain. DesireSFM is STILL the reigning heavyweight champion of an outdated program hardly anyone uses to make porn with anymore other than KamasdevasSFM. His parents must be real proud of him if they knew what he did for a living XD, hell I would be if he were my Futa loving son with talent to make futa's fuck the way they should XD!

In my last final words, I honestly don't see the problem at all with DesireSfm work aside from the usual flaws that are the programs fault and not his.Corruption Of The Lodge 3 was fantastic, and I really loved it. I didn't too much like the Resident Evil one with Excella but even that one was extremely well made and executed better than anything anyone else was doing in SFM.

Maybe he just feels the need to change programs because he wants to work without limitations and restrictions (although the slow rendering will be one of those limits.) Have more freedom and control. That's understandable because I wanted that as well when I switched to daz's iray. Blender is certainly much more challenging than SFM. When I tried to help him with his lighting, it took me a day just to figure out SFM....When I tried Blender I couldn't for the love of GOD get around that goddamn hectic interface.

I do look forward to Desire's Blender debut just because I know he's going to kill and annihilate the competition if he becomes skilled with it...I'm just concerned about the direction he might take if the program ends up overwhelming him like SFM has...This animation stuff is even stressful for veterans that understand it to do something truly amazing with it.

I know that as an artist myself, everyone has limits..Sometimes we all make the mistake of overworking ourselves by doing too much all at once, or trying to live up to high expectations...If we fail to do this or feel as if we didn't achieve a specific goal or accomplishment...We might find ourselves feeling unpleasant about our own work even if others appreciate us for it. And that can lead some artist to either give up or just work a lot slower than usual in order to avoid severe burn out. This is part of who we are after all, artist with a passion for producing satisfying content for everyone's pleasure including our own.

In the end though, Blender does good still imagery work, and I heard it renders faster than Daz's iray...Still, I don't care. I'd rather stick with Daz's Iray than to switch over to Blender just to get a little slight boost in graphical quality renders. I've seen some damn good Iray renders that could easily rival Blender. So no it's definitely not better graphical wise than IRAY since Iray can do the same high quality renders if you're very good at lighting scenes and characters.

The one thing Desire did tell me is that he wants to challenge himself, and that if Blender proves to be a drag, he will return back to SFM rather than just giving up and quitting entirely. To me that's good news so let's just see what he does in Blender next year. I'm geared up for it.
