Many artist on baraag are finacially struggling
Sometimes baraag can be a very depressing platform, especially when you run into artists who are desperate for financial support because they are in serious financial trouble, whether it's losing their job, or falling behind on bills. Baraag is not as big as Twitter, nor does it attract enough well known artist. That means less competition for artist who can barely draw vs artist who are very good at it that if they were flooding to baraag in droves well they would steal all the commission glory if there was enough to be had....But there isn't.The other issue is that most of these artist have no idea how to survive, they think begging for commissions is a good strategy while having a huge list of stuff they won't even draw.
It's one thing if a person have maybe one major kink they hate and don't want to be bothered with, but when someone have over 5 or 10 things they won't do because they are sensitive and offended, that is a person who doesn't want to survive or isn't even trying to keep their heads above water among other stupid decisions they generally make.
On baraag you see a lot of depressing posts written like this, "Please help; I am about to be evicted. Any commission offers?" "My medical bill are too high, I need emergency funds; commission offers?" I don't understand why any artists would rely on a dead end platform like baraag for financial help... Baraag isn't a bad website or platform, it's just bad and a dead end platform for financial purposes. Why? Well the place is hopeless with its strict no non-artist allowed sign up policy. If I was still on Pixiv, I would have had about 40,000K followers by now...
But the problem with baraag is that the owner restricts the user base to artists only... Therefore, he's making it impossible for anyone to attract enough followers, and because platforms like Aethy which as a platform similar to baraag. Well recently this week they are shutting their doors due to some issues they were having.
All The Fallen was recently attacked as well...My guess is lolicon as an art form is going to be officially dead by next year, that or either every platform currently still allowing it is going to be eliminated unless artists can figure out a way to fight it. Which none of them are really trying.... I mean hell claim it to be "homophobic" or something. Use the art of weaponized language, play the victimhood card, fuck do something to defend the goddamn genre.
Mostly they were infiltrated and
sabotaged from the inside, which happens to a lot of platforms that get
attacked and wrongfully reported once enough fragile individuals start joining up to make trouble for the users who are just looking for a harmless platform that will tolerate their artistic ideas and support their right to freedom of expression. Then there are the shitty play it safe
web domains and domain host providers who will shut down platforms if they don't
approve of the content present on it.
Baraag is useless for financial potential, so any
artist who is using it to pay their bills is severely out of luck. You
need followers and lots of them to survive on your art... If any of those
major art platforms had a strict policy where only artists could
join... You think any of those well known artists would have over 100,000K
followers? Hell no! They would get nowhere. There are some artists on
baraag that do well... Except they are within the 1 percent crowd. Baraag
is only good for artists who want to express themselves censorship free...Well until some puritan cock sucker decides to attack that platform and kill what remains to be the only freedom of expression art platform left, right up there with 34Rulehentai.net which also recently started allowing all forms of art compared to other 34rule platforms that are Pro-Censorship.
