Can our fictionalized ideas encourage reality?

For several years now I have always wondered if by any chance did pornographic content have any form of influence on the decisions people choose to make in real life. One thing for certain is that the majority of pornographic material we consume or even produce can be considered propaganda one way or another even if some of us aren't intentionally trying to create propaganda with it. Pornography doesn't so much have a major influence on reality as some might believe if they are willing to buy into the false narratives. And a lot of pornographic content is full of lies, deception, and bullshit. It can be argued and debated that it does or does not influence the decisions that are made outside of fiction whether it's pornographic or not.

As artist we have a tendency to produce a lot of content that doesn't exactly define who we are as people, we're just trying to entertain. Just because someone is creating sexually violent material it doesn't mean they condone or encourage real sexual violence outside of their fictional works of art. However there are some who believe that specific ideas are "dangerous" to the mental state of mind and those proclaimed dangerous ideas have a negative affect on reality and how people choose to behave and interact with others which is nothing more than another meaningless myth.

If Lolicon was eliminated and made illegal in every country on the planet rather than a few pathetic countries that have already done that. Well it wouldn't prevent p--------- or erase it from the world, nor would it reduce the number of people who are attracted to actual children. Criminalizing an art genre and accusing it of influencing the minds of those who are unable to control who or what they are attracted to isn't a fair argument. These things existed even before lolicon was ever an art genre. The only reason some people have an issue with it in the first place, is because it gives them something else to complain about. Violence is another conflicting concept in fiction that is often blamed for homicides, killing sprees, school shootings and murder cases. Grand Theft Auto was blamed for the 1999 shooting of Columbia High. Some even say it inspired the two shooters to carry out their massacre.

But the real issue is not that violence within fiction is responsible for violence in the real world. People are just naturally violent anyway, but violence is also part of human nature,  some are just better than others at controlling that violent nature. And this now brings me to the whole notion that content like Lolicon which is constantly under attack and scrutiny because it's always accused of promoting the unthinkable.  Which is such a blatant lie.  Even before lolicon was ever an artist genre, people were still attracted to "innocence". Therefore it's been around for centuries so it would be unfair to blame fictional works of art on why that sort of thing exist to begin with. People obviously have no control over whom they are attracted to, so how is fictional works of art responsible for this? I'll tell you, IT ISN'T!

Fiction will never fully impact real life or the decisions people choose to make outside of fiction. While there are some minor cases in life where fiction can or has influenced reality to a degree depending on how aggressive something is being promoted in media. It's not to the point where it has influenced reality in a major way. If anything it is reality that often influences and inspires fiction and artistic ideas.

If real evil didn't exist in the real world, how would any artist be able to express their own vision of what evil is from a fictional standpoint? If murder, rape, life, and death didn't exist, where would the artist, film makers, director, author, or producer get the idea from to display these things in their novel, movie, video game, or some other from of media? Does an image that depict suicide encourage viewers to commit the act of suicide or does the expression of suicide help those who are suffering to identify with the concept or idea of ending ones own life? Maybe a warning? There are multiple ways to study these concepts. Take myself for example, I am fascinated in a lot of things from the past. So it is the past that influences a lot of my ideas. A lot of what I come up with are of my own imagination, I create content based entirely upon what I am feeling. And it's been more of a coping mechanism for me ever since.

A person could always just use their imagination and think of all these things if they didn't exist. But let's take futanari for example...Would dickgirls have existed in fiction if it weren't for transsexuals or trans people in general existing? Are they not some kind of influence behind the creation of futanari? I'd say to a degree they definitely are responsible for futanari's existence. Maybe not entirely but it originated in Japan and there are articles that explain this phenomenon as to how futanari came into existence thanks to the fascination of hermaphrodites. Other claims state that the discovery came from elsewhere in Japanese society, but futanari's are not transsexuals and a lot of people seem to fail at understanding this.

But would futanari's still exist even if trans people didn't is the question. Well I'm certain that someone would have eventually thought of the idea or at least imagined a female character with a dick. There could also be some historical elements behind how it got started in the first place. Bible Black definitely wasn't the first time women with dicks appeared in artwork and fiction. If you want proof of this, here is a link to a website I discovered https://blog.irodoricomics.com/the-history-of-futanari/ so as you can see, Futanari is a very old art form! But it was the Japanese who discovered it first before anyone else did.

Art is one of the oldest forms of expression and there have always been controversial artist throughout history challenging themselves and the comfort zones of others and even risking imprisonment or outright scrutiny for what they were creating. Fiction has a small role to play in influencing life, but it is reality that influences fiction in a much bigger way. And unlike reality, fiction is harmless unless it affects someone psychologically. Not everyone can handle rape, blood, gore, and brutality even when it's fictional. But that doesn't mean we should allow unconstitutional laws to be created out of the ass to ban or forbid any of it from fiction. Freedom of expression is the best medicine. There will always be dangerous people interesting in endangering themselves or others...Eliminating the "harm" from fiction would never change that.
