Returning back to Art Station
I said it once and I'll say it again, non-pornographic artwork has potential if you can find the right platform to host it on where you aren't competing against pornographic material. The thing is, when I was hosting my non-pornographic art on pornographic platforms, I was still able to appeal to a lot of people and attract them. Therefore I didn't have to rely on explicit content. The fact that I don't have any other art platforms to host any explicit material on anymore is another reason I'm considering becoming more active on Art Station instead...I sat here yesterday and I kept saying to myself "If I make anything explicit related, where can I post it? I got kicked off Deviant Art, Tumblr might as well die, Pixiv fucked me over, baraag can barely survive without constantly getting dropped by hosting providers, so where can I go?" And I'm too damn stubborn to censor myself for Twitter/X.
I never put a whole lot of effort into getting my work noticed on Art Station, when I joined up a couple of years ago, it was just another outlet for me to showcase my work. But seeing how Art Station isn't a dirty website for explicit content. I figured that I could make use of all my cleaner art that contains no sexual content by showcasing most of it there and see just how far it will take me on the platform. If I may, I am bored to death with the modern era.
I realize that explicit material only works if you have a massive following block supporting your work. Without them, it's rather useless spending all that time concentrating on pornographic content when there are so many non-pornographic ideas you can come up with that might be even more beneficial in the end.. It really depends on where the content is hosted.
And the reason I say this is due to shitty censorship that's keeping me from enjoying any of these garbage pornographic art platforms in the first place... Like I said before in another blog, if regime changes could exist for website platforms... All the boring fucks with their anti-fun TOS policies would be worth overthrowing and replacing them with more people like Koi who runs Baraag. Who needs these sad sacks of shit and their useless no fun policies.
Koi is the only one in this industry today that seems to understand that artist should be able to create whatever they want without any restrictions, but these other platforms are too ignorant and controlling to allow any freedom of expression to exist.. So because the art community is taken over by mostly anti-fun pricks that occupy every single one of these platforms. It gave me a reason to reflect on all my non-pornographic ideas that may be useful on Art Station where a lot of studios in film, gaming, and television seek out talent.
I do not know whether or not my work will fair well on Art station or just end up being overlooked. I have learned over the years that it's not how you create the art that matters, unless of course it's done with the use of AI technology then...That will just make the content less interesting and less rewarding. But the most important thing is that you have great ideas... AI just steals and hijacks ideas from other people.
What you really need are ideas that will captivate the viewers and that's what I'm aiming to do if I decide to become active on Art Station as I currently have no other alternatives for continuing with my explicit content. The owner of Baraag posted on X/Twitter that he was preparing to get everything back in order, so I'm guessing he's going to restore the site back... Even if he does this I can't help but feel that it's all just temporarily, eventually Baraag is going to be forced to shut down and it'll be no more... We truly are living in the dark ages, we just haven't gone back to a time period where people can be burnt alive for their "blasphemous" ideas.
There are a lot of fascinating ideas that inspire me from the past.
I might as well start producing more non-explicit content and get a head start on it... Why bother with pornography when you can't even do shit with it besides dull softcare trash. I have a lot of art that can tell different stories without the graphic material attached to it, but I knew that from the very beginning I didn't want to limit myself to explicit only content... Years ago I started out creating "religious" artwork, then I got bored and stopped. Plus religious people lately are starting to really piss me off...With their prophecies, end of world rhetoric, warmongering, and psychotic behavior.
Well now I just want to create content that will appeal to a studio that may see some potential in me and maybe I'll have the opportunity to do something big for once... I'm not going to have any high expectations about it... I will just approach art station like a new challenge, a new direction after constant losses with explicit art platforms... A chance to see how far my non-explicit material will go. But before I try to make something of Art Station, a lot of my images need better lighting work, I want more realism but not too realistic just enough for it to stand out more. I have images that just feel a little on the low quality side.
And then there are these images I have that I took inspirations from classical renaissance paintings. A lot of these themes I wish I could frame them on the wall, like the image below I did last year for Christmas featuring Claudia Wolf from Silent Hill 3 and Shirley Temple on the piano performing and singing, the mood is very cheery here and light hearted. I wanted to express a side of me I rarely showcase in such a manner.
What inspired this interesting classical image...I came across an vintage art theme involving a family dancing around a Christmas tree last year when I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for a Christmas theme, and it gave me the idea to do something just like it. I said to myself... "If I do more art like this, will I get discovered? Will I have more respect? Why even bother with the NSFW community anymore when I can do this kind of art instead and maybe get more attention drawn to myself? I'm fucking tired of being betrayed by art platforms and nobody really bothered to support me enough outside of Pixiv anyway. I get ignored on X and that bothers me A LOT. Let's see what the community over on Art Station think of my safer ideas. Let's see how far it will get me."
