Without Baraag I have nowhere to Host art...
Whenever there's some kind of issue going on over on Baraag and I can't see the site anymore because it's either blocked, downed, or some other issue involving the owner having to look for ways around censorship.... It becomes rather evident that I regret not retiring a long time ago... Not only do I not have a place to host my work, I create content for the privacy of my own eyes which isn't much fun...Aside from some themes I work on that I don't have much intent on sharing publicly anyway. I mean not every idea I have is an idea I like so much that I want to show it off to the public only to have regrets about it later. That's why I keep a set of images just to look at when I get bored enough, and then I have all my other work I show off to those following and supporting.
Still, we live in a time where freedom of expression and freedom of speech is disappearing and no one puts up any effort to fight back... So we either have to find these pathetic workarounds like using expensive VPN services which I refuse to do...Because if I can't access a site normally without having to pay extra money to do so... Then it isn't worth it. I'm not going to resort to using fucking VPNs so either Baraag fixes it's issue and I can come back or I'll just settle it right here and now and call it quits in 2026...
Thankfully I never bothered to really finish any of my graphic novels because constant problems with payment processors thinking they have a right to dictate what we can and can't create...It would be a massive waste of my damn time working on major projects I can't sell or really produce on any platform that won't allow me the right to do so.
At any rate I don't know how long Baraag is going to be out of commission, before it went down today I was trying to fix a lot of my renders...Now I don't feel so compelled to be bothered anymore...For all I know this outage could probably last several months, maybe a year if things continue to worsen...I just don't see any sign of issues like this and censorship going away unless people are willing to fight tooth and nail to put an end to it. Otherwise we can just sit around on our sorry asses throwing bricks at a wall, complaining about how much censorship suck and not really taking actual action to do something about it.
